The Spinal Cord Injuries Association of Nigeria (SCIAN) is a non-profit, voluntary, non-political, non-sectarian, organisation founded in 1984 by a group of spinal cord injured patients at the National Orthopaedic Hospital Igbobi Lagos. It was registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission in 1993 (RC 7388)
We believe in a world where everyone is treated with dignity and respect. Persons with disabilities deserve equal access to education, jobs, and healthcare. Inclusion is a right, not a privilege and your support makes it possible.
Let’s break the barriers of stigma, discrimination, and inaccessibility. Your voice can help create policies that empower and protect. Together, we can ensure no one is left behind. Promote accessibility in physical and digital spaces. Celebrate abilities, not limitations. Join us today because equality matters. Together, we can build a more inclusive future for all.
We strive to eradicate the discriminative attitude of the general public against persons with disabilities, especially those on the wheelchair. Learn more
