SCIAN is one of the 3 disability organizations that is part of the implementation of accessible airports Project funded by the Disability Rights Fund, DRF(An international Donor Agency.)

Barriers affecting the lives of persons with disabilities, particularly people on wheel chair are now being broken gradually, for example, There are now improved accessibilities for people on wheel chair at the airports.
How We Created Strong Impacts In Para Sports
Also to the tune of sports ,SCIAN laid the foundation of para-sports in Nigeria when para Table tennis was introduced as a demonstration sport at the 1985 and 1988 National Sports Festivals in Kwara and Rivers states respectively.
Para table tennis became a scoring sport at the Benue 1996 sports festival.
In 1990 at the Stoke Mandeville Wheel-Chair Games. Late Chief Adeyemi Bamgbose, who was the Lagos State Chairman of SCIAN got a Silver medal – the first international para sports medal for Nigeria.
He later became the First President Of Nigeria Para Table-Tennis Federation.
