As part of the implementation of MacArthur Project with JONAPWD as sub grantor, the spinal cord injuries association organized a SCI Awareness campaign.

During the event, the Kano State Commissioner for Information flagged off with the distribution of hospital consumables that includes adult diapers, antiseptics, urine bags, catheters and other wound dressing items that were provided by the MacArthur project.

In attendance during the awareness campaign with the Commissioner were the Special Adviser to the governor on Public enlightenment, Director Social Welfare from the Ministry of Humanitarian, Director CITAD.

The event witnessed presentations from Sector Commandant FRSC Kano Command and accident rescue demonstration from the Nigerian Red Cross Society. Other partners were the NDLEA, Kano, a Professor of Physiotherapy from Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital, Neurosurgeons, organizations of persons with disabilities, media stations and other stakeholders.
